CA Conservation Corps Clears Riverbed Brush

A crew from the California Conservation Corps (CCC) uses hand tools to cut and clear brush and small trees from the Fresno River bottom, adjacent to the bridge on north Granada Drive on Wednesday afternoon. Residents said the effort was long overdue, and they hoped more of the riverbed could be cleared before the tall over growth returns and results in another season of dangerous fires burning in the city.
