By DJ Becker / The Madera News January 18th, 2022 An early morning traffic collision Tuesday about 6:30 am resulted in the death of a 59-year-old man, according to the Madera Police Department. Authorities identified the man as Remigio Orozco Baron. Officers said a white pickup truck was driving northeast on Yosemite Ave and had the right of way when the minivan driven by Baron pulled out from Vineyard Ave directly in front of it. The impact struck the minivan in the area of the driver’s door and the left front panel, resulting in the fatality. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. The collision remains under investigation. Roadway conditions were clear and dry at the time of the incident.
